Starting the Connection #
Open Settings → Connected calendars and choose Connect Google. You are redirected to Google’s consent screen, where you sign in and approve access. On approval you return to https://mixcalendar.mixcommerce.co/ with the account listed as connected.
What Access Is Requested #
- Read access to event times on the calendars you select, used for conflict detection.
- Write access to one nominated calendar, used to create and update booked meetings.
- Basic profile information, used to label the connection in your account.
MixCalendar reads start and end times and busy status. Event titles and descriptions are not stored, and event bodies are never displayed elsewhere in the product.
Choosing Calendars #
After connecting, select which calendars should be checked for conflicts. Most people include their primary calendar plus any shared calendar that holds real commitments, and exclude subscription calendars such as public holidays or sports fixtures that would otherwise block time incorrectly.
The Destination Calendar #
Exactly one calendar receives new bookings. Choose it from the Add events to selector. Many users create a dedicated calendar so booked meetings are easy to filter and share.
Multiple Google Accounts #
Several Google accounts can be connected at once. Conflicts are read from all of them, so a personal appointment blocks a work slot without exposing any detail about it. Only one account holds the destination calendar.
Reconnecting #
Tokens expire if a password changes, access is revoked, or an administrator alters workspace policy. The dashboard shows a warning banner and conflict detection stops for that account until you reconnect. Reconnecting preserves your calendar selections.
