Connecting a Processor #
Open Settings → Payments and connect Stripe or Razorpay. Funds settle directly into your processor account; MixCalendar never holds money. Disconnecting a processor stops new paid bookings but does not affect payments already captured.
Enabling Payment on an Event Type #
In the event type editor, turn on Require payment, set the amount and currency, and optionally add a description that appears on the checkout step. Multi-duration event types can price each duration separately.
The Invitee Experience #
- The invitee selects a slot and answers booking questions.
- The slot is held briefly while checkout is completed.
- Payment is taken by the processor on a secure hosted page.
- On success the booking is confirmed and the standard confirmation email is sent with a receipt reference.
If checkout is abandoned or fails, the hold expires and the slot returns to the pool. No booking is created and no calendar event is written.
Taxes #
Tax handling follows your processor configuration. Where your processor supports automatic tax calculation, the amount shown at checkout includes it. MixCalendar does not calculate tax independently, so the price you enter should match your intended treatment.
Currencies #
Each event type has one currency, drawn from those your processor supports. Invitees are charged in that currency regardless of location, and any conversion is handled by their card issuer.
