The Problem They Solve #
When every member of a team publishes their own version of the same offer, descriptions drift, durations diverge, and booking questions stop matching. Managed event types let an admin define a template once and push it to each member’s account.
Creating a Managed Event Type #
From the team’s event types tab, choose New managed event type, configure it as usual, and assign the members who should receive it. Each assigned member gets an event type on their own booking page, at their own URL, using their own availability.
Locked and Unlocked Fields #
Each field in the template is marked locked or unlocked.
- Locked fields are controlled centrally. Members see them greyed out, and admin edits propagate to everyone.
- Unlocked fields can be personalised, most commonly the availability schedule and location.
Propagation #
Changing a locked field updates every assigned instance immediately. Existing bookings keep the settings that applied when they were created, so a description change does not rewrite history.
Removing Assignment #
Unassigning a member deletes their instance and stops new bookings on it. Their existing bookings survive, and MixCalendar warns you which ones are affected before you confirm.
Typical Uses #
Sales discovery calls with a mandatory qualification question, support escalations with a fixed duration, and recruiting screens with standard candidate questions are the three patterns teams adopt most often.
