How Do Plans, Seats, and Upgrades Work?

1 min read

Workspaces and Seats #

Billing happens at workspace level. Each active member occupies a seat, and the plan applies uniformly to everyone in the workspace. Pending invitations do not consume a seat until accepted.

Changing Plan #

Open Settings → Billing to change plan. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge for the remainder of the current period. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period, so you keep paid features until then.

Adding and Removing Seats #

Adding a member beyond your allocation prompts you to add seats, charged prorated. Removing a member frees the seat at the next renewal rather than issuing an immediate refund.

Invoices and Payment Method #

Invoices are available in the billing panel and emailed to the billing contact, who need not be the workspace owner. Update the payment method at any time; a failed charge triggers retries over several days with email warnings before any restriction applies.

What Happens on Downgrade #

Features above your new plan stop applying to new activity while existing data is preserved. Paid event types stop accepting payment, workflows beyond the plan limit are paused rather than deleted, and branding reverts to defaults. Upgrading again restores everything in place.

Cancelling #

Cancelling ends renewal at the close of the current period. Booking pages stop accepting new bookings, and data remains exportable for the retention window described in the security article.
