How Slots Are Generated #
A round robin event type offers the union of its hosts’ availability. A slot appears if at least one eligible host is free, which is why round robin pages typically show far more availability than an individual page.
Assignment Rules #
- Balanced assigns to whichever available host has taken the fewest bookings on this event type, evening out the load over time.
- Priority ranks hosts into tiers and always assigns to the highest available tier, keeping senior hosts as fallback.
- Random picks any available host with equal probability.
Fixed and Optional Hosts #
An event type can combine a rotating host with a fixed host who attends every meeting. This models the common pattern of a rotating account executive joined by a constant sales engineer. Fixed hosts constrain availability, since a slot must work for both.
Weighting #
Hosts can be weighted so that part-time members receive proportionally fewer meetings. A host weighted at 0.5 receives roughly half the volume of a host weighted at 1.0 under the balanced rule.
Reassignment #
Admins can reassign a booked meeting to another host from the booking detail panel. The invitee is notified, the calendar event moves to the new host, and the conferencing link is regenerated.
Reporting #
The analytics view includes a distribution breakdown by host, which is the quickest way to confirm that weighting and priority rules are behaving as intended.
