Which Emails Does MixCalendar Send Automatically?

< 1 min read

Standard Messages #

Message Recipient Trigger
Booking confirmation Invitee and host Booking created
Reschedule notice Invitee and host Time changed
Cancellation notice Invitee and host Booking cancelled
Reminder Invitee, host optional Configured interval before start
Follow-up Invitee Configured interval after end

Calendar Invitations #

Confirmations include a calendar attachment so invitees without a connected account can add the meeting in one click. Hosts receive the event directly on their connected calendar rather than as an attachment.

Reminders #

Each event type can send up to three reminders at intervals you choose, commonly twenty-four hours and one hour before the start. Reminders are cancelled automatically when a booking is cancelled and rescheduled when a booking moves.

Host Notification Preferences #

Under Settings → Notifications, hosts choose which messages they receive. Busy hosts often disable their own confirmation email while keeping the calendar event, since the calendar entry already carries the information.

Deliverability #

Transactional mail is sent through the MixCommerce mail infrastructure with authenticated sending domains. Adding your own verified sending domain improves inbox placement further and is covered in the email templates article.
